Your draft essay and final blog post

Hi Everyone

We are all amazed - my father has made an incredible recovery and is now starting to make us laugh and even order us around!!

I will be back next week.

Hopefully, another teacher will mark your draft essay and get it back into the box by Thursday so that you can then make any corrections and submit the final draft on the first day after the holiday. Please remember, that if you do not correct your first draft you loose marks.

For your final post on your blog you must write this final reflection. The final blog mark is worth 15%. Please do it in class time this week.

A reflective Reflective Statement of 250 words on how you got on with the two projects. You should look at areas like:-

1             How you found the sources

2             Any problems with finding suitable information

3             Any difficulties with websites

4             Difficulties with time management

5             Problems with writing everything in your own words

6             Problems with referencing and how you found Bibme

7             Your overall reflection on the LSC 1103 course.

Thank you for all working hard and getting your work finished by the dealines.

Have a wonderful holiday

9th - 13 Dec

Hi Everyone

As I expect you all know by now. I went home to England for a short holiday to see my family but my father who is ninety-four was rushed to hospital. We have now brought him home to die as the hospital can do no more. Therefore, I will not be in class next week.

You are very lucky because we had completed all the classwork on time and you now just have to complete the final essay and write a final reflection for the blog regarding what you have learnt on the Academic Reading and Writing Course.

Steve Alison, the supervisor of the Academic Reading and Writing Course knows everything about the deadlines for your coursework. He will be checking to see that the hardcopy of tyour final essay is in the correct box on my desk on Sunday.

You must come to class next week on time with a charged laptop as Steve Allison will be coming around to do the course evaluations. Remember what I said to you - sometimes the things that you think are hard, actually turn out to be the best for you in the end!

As I will not see you before the break, I hope that you have a lovely holiday and return refreshed to start the new semester.

Warm regards

Frankie

P.S.
Ali, please see Julie Wallace or Patricia Burnett regarding the rewrite of your essay.
